Basic Stitches

Sewing is something I like to pretend I'm good at. In reality, my sewing skills are comparable to that of a monkey. In an attempt to make up for my lack of sewing skills, I've been following Basic Stitch Week over at Campfire Chic. 

Kam has made a whole week of basic stitches plus she's come up with four free embroidery patterns so you can practice your new skills!

Last night, I practiced the straight stitch and made this pretty with one of her patterns.
