My own preferences are real trees and white lights. Here's a little photo of my tree this year.
I have an artificial white tree that I love, but it still does not beat out the wonder of a real tree to me. I don't have much reasoning for white lights except that, to me, they provide a better backdrop to the ornaments (or the stars) of the tree.
Apparently I have too much time on my hands if I have time to debate trees and lights.
Do you have any other strange debates that occur among you and your friends or family at this time of year?
