truck stops and sidewalks

Sometimes I like to spend my Saturdays sitting outside of a truck stop reading. Not really, but that's where you would've found me yesterday.

What was supposed to be a lovely day trip to Ohio was spoiled by car trouble. Automotive repair isn't exactly my thing, so I found a seat on the ground for reading while it was being fixed. The concrete sidewalk and pavement parking lot were far from comfortable, but I really didn't mind. This book has been so good that I was thankful for a few extra moments of reading. I'm only four or five chapters in, and I can already feel myself being challenged.

Soon the repairs were made and we headed back home. There was no grand adventure, but I did manage a quick stop at Hobby Lobby where I found the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan paper pad. For this middle-of-nowhere scrapper, that's quite the find. The designs are so fun and dreamy. I can't wait to create with it.
